Linda Wisdom was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. She majored in Journalism in college then switched her major to Fashion Merchandising when she was told there was no future for her in fiction writing. She held a variety of positions ranging from retail sales to executive secretary in advertising and office manager for a personnel agency.

Her career began when she sold her first two novels to Silhouette Romance on her wedding anniversary in 1979. Since then she has sold more than seventy novels and one novella to four different publishers. In that time she has written traditional romance, paranormal romance, humorous romance, action/adventure romance and romantic suspense. Her books have appeared on various romance and mass market bestseller lists and nominated for a number of Romantic Times awards and Romance Writers of America Rita Award. Her novels have been published worldwide.

She lives with her husband, two spoiled rotten white mini Schnauzers, an arrogant yellow nape Amazon parrot, an equally demented tortoise in Southern California.

A number of Linda’s books, including her Hex paranormal series, have been optioned for film and television. She is also presently uploading her backlist books up for Kindle, Nook, and at Smashwords.

In Lynda K. Scott’s family of Kentucky ’ridge runners’, oral tales were a tradition that even the children participated in. She began her writing career with short Speculative Fiction, then her first novel, a Science Fantasy Romance, finaled in the illustrious RWA Golden Heart contest. Now she creates award winning science fantasy romance filled with despair, hope, love and courage.

Currently she lives in Michigan with her dear husband, a big lovable dog, Zuzu, and her alien kitten, Wookie Baby, who keeps Lynda grounded in the fantastical worlds she creates.
